Today, August 23, 2019 is the father's death day, and the last place I visited was Beppu.I passed today.And I went to Oita, the place where I remembered my mother.But this place is also where I met her.She wants to wake up early. 😢

Beppu station is very clean & has some shops & restaurants. Beppu in Japan, is a very interesting place for kids & adults. In my opinion, the 8 famous hot springs & the Safari zoo are top rated.

The base station was a station, and it was a tourist resort station, so there were plenty of souvenirs. There are many restaurants in front of the station, and the cheap parking is attractive.I am thankful that the café on the premises also wakes up.It may be attractive that many tourist trains such as Sonic, Nichirin Seagaia, and Yufuin no Mori are connected.

There are shops and buses at the station. 95 Dan shops in the shop are very easy to buy, and there are hot springs outside. ♨️

At the elevated station with 2 lines and 4 lines, go down lines 1 and 2, and lines 3 and 4 are used by the up and return trains. In addition to the usual station name indicating the neighboring station, there is only this station with a hot spring mark.

Small station! However many options to go for the trip to other cities!

Limited Express Sonic stops.The station is on the second floor, and when you exit the ticket gate, there is a space where souvenirs and restaurants spread out in front, and in the east there is a downhill on the shopping street that leads to the sea. Click here to go to the Kitahama hotel district and Takegawara Onsen. There is also a sightseeing bus and taxi stand on the right hand side of the east exit.The hill of the west exit leads to Beacon Plaza and Beppu Park, but it is better to use a bus because it is a little away.The tourist information center exits the ticket gate and is on the right. There is a map, but be aware that the map of Beppu is illusioned because the western mountainous area is on the top, unlike the normal map.There is a Teyu hot spring in front of the east exit, so it is convenient to know what Beppu hot spring is like

If you are an English speaker and are needing help, the English speaking staff at Beppu Station is so incredibly nice and helpful! They have been helping us as soon as we arrived with information, even buying us back some tickets we didn't need in the end. Also if you have the luck to have the lady guide asking you if you want to be guided in the city, be sure to say yes! She is probably one of the most sweet and adorable person we have met in Japan, and she has even been running after us outside to give us some more really helpful information. I was really sad to didn't say yes for her guiding us because I was too shy to have someone helping, so don't do the same mistake than us! If ever the staff is reading these recommandations, thank you again for everything , you have been so helpful and amazing! Wished we could have spent some time with you!

Visited 12/13/2020.The nearest station to Beppu Onsen. You can see JR Kyushu's sightseeing trains at home.

Very cozy town, and the people are very helpful. The town has a sense of humor! There’s an information counter and the staff there are so helpful! Small shops around that area for souvenirs and restaurants are nice to try some Tori-ten ;)

Small station but very clean and neat. The JR staff was very helpful and understand english. They have information center for international tourists that visit Beppu.

Before going there, I was thinking of the local station as if it were somewhat lonely, but it was completely different.It was a splendid station with an elevated and beautiful station building and a food court.

After riding Sonic Express train from Kokura Station, nothing much to see here especially after 7pm, you should be getting home and dipping your body to the nearest hot spring resort.

If you think it's a big station, the express stops. There is a remnant that the station square had flourished in the past.

Come here and there is information center for Japanese and English! Get package ticket of Hell Tour Jigoku Meguri only 1,800 yen, mini bus one day pass 900 yen, and beppu coupon book for 200 yen!

Small and beautiful station, sparrows are all small. We buy a one-day ticket for the bus at the service desk over the store. The reception staff speaks both English and Chinese. There are many Oita specialty products and souvenirs on the shopping street, as well as restaurants. I like this small station because it is easy to see which door, platform, train or bus

The sound is a bit noisy as you go up the mountain path. Various ingenuity has been devised such as the sale of goods in the car and taking commemorative photos. I sincerely hope that all lines will be opened.

This is a smaller station than I thought. There are souvenirs.

Old town memories

There are many small shops downstairs, it is recommended to stay for half an hour to wait for a car to shop! There is a sale of organic agriculture, and strawberries are delicious!

Wonderful hot spring resort with an abundance of natural hot springs and spas. Make sure to check out the free "hand" hot water bath right at the Southern exit of the main station!

Cool station

Although the town of Yunobe Beppu, the number of foreign tourists has decreased significantly. ️😭Even around 9:00 on holidays, the station is quiet. ️🤪The new Corona seems to have had a huge impact. ️😭But the home has a peaceful atmosphere and a good feeling. The smell of hot springs that smells faintly invites you to travel.

Small station with a few restaurants

The best-known hot spring in Beppu is the hot spring sign and the hot spring you can experience as soon as you walk out of the station. I really like how this city feels.

Train ride from Hakata causes slight motion sickness. Interesting ride, as you get to experience a direction change, as well as changing of seating direction.

Small station, you can take a ride from here to Hell Hot Springs, Yufuin

Not that big but there are some restaurants inside. Easy to go around the tourist attractions of Beppu from here. since most of the passes stop by here.
